Introduction

My project is on Bessie Coleman she was born January 26, 1892 in Atlanta, Texas. Bessie Coleman came from a home of sharecroppers who were descendants of Native and African Americans. They weren't the riches people but they got by with how much they had. Bessie Coleman was the first African American who got her pilot license. I have chosen this person because she was not only the first woman to do this but also the first African American to get her pilot license. She was the start of a new beginning of young girls dreams of doing the same. She influenced other African Americans to follow their dreams and let nothing stop them to do so.
